WP Plugin:Add Global Translator to your Blog

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Last week two of my articles got few linkbacks from some popular sites like Ayudawordpress and Phpspot in Spanish and Japanese languages. This drove over 5k traffic from those respective languages in the week. I believe many of them tried to read content in my blog and faced some inconvenience with the language. And I got couple of mails also from the visitors saying “Hey Lax why don’t you place a translator option in TechZoomIn“. So always I listen first to my readers than page ranks or load times or etc…

I found Global Translator as the good and simple plugin to use. It doesn’t effect your blog load time as much as other translator from different sources. And also simple interface with min time to translate to any language.

Cool features of Global Translator:

  1. Supports 4 translator engines including Google translator engine
    • Google Translation Engine
    • Promt Online Translator
    • AltaVista Babel Fish
    • Free Translator
  2. Supporting 22 languages currently: English, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Greek, Dutch, Norwegian, Bulgarian, Czech, Croat, Danish, Finnish, Hindi, Polish, Rumanian and Swedish.
  3. Download Global Translator

So what do you think? Just install this plugin and get traffic from other language sites too.

    @Softhydit,

    This plugin is only for Wordpress self host users.

    You can find Google translator gadget at Google labs and use it. It will provide you simple HTML code, just paste it in your blogger Edit HTML section.

    Thats it you are done with it. Enjoy!

    @David Carrero Fernández-Baillo,
    David, The problem comes because of the cache.But for end user it won’t effect.they will be able to see their lang.when you try to click on diff flags at the same time the cache give the problem and it will ask user to come back again.

    I didn’t get the banned word.Can you expand it a bit?

    Great idea to consider spanish.

    Have you think about real translators doing their job better than a machine?

    Please contact me if you are interested.

    what do you mean by real translators?

    @Lax: I meant people who make better translations than a machine. Translators are not so expensive once you provide them constant and secure work.
