Why Search Engine Optimisation(SEO)?

Customers are using Google to locate their products, services and information than any other resource. Traditional resources including: telephone Directories and print advertising are not cost effective compared to Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
Organic SEO and Pay Per Click:
Search Engine Optimisation is a valuable asset, that can last long-term. Organic Search Engine Optimisation is regarded as more effective, yet a long-term approach to gaining traffic. Organic SEO, is where links from external websites link to your site. Another popular method is Pay per click, although effective you require a recurring investment of money to see returns.
Through previous experience, organic traffic is the best method of generating visitors. Organic traffic is targeted and free.
Focus on the target audience:
It is vital that your blog or website ranks on the first page of Google for desired keywords. Web pages that rank on the first of Google will be guaranteed: more visits, more leads and more sales than webpages on the fifth or sixth page of Google. Google receives billions of enquires daily, therefore, research your target audience thoroughly. Remember that, searchers are looking for you. Offer content that will attract new readers.
Before creating a blog or website Review your content. Focus on your blog’s topic, research your target audience, research your competitors and meet the needs of the target audience. Website planning is crucial. A successful online presence requires long term planning. Stay ahead of your competitors and invest time into a successful online presence that welcomes results.

SEO does help to achieve your goals, however, you must realise that you have to start somewhere.
Planning your website is vital, you could a fancy design, but if it not getting the traffic, it is a waste of time. So content is important, reagrding the terms of SEO, if you Do get on the first for your keywords, your blog or site, is likely to get more traffic.

Search Engines are changing it’s internal operations a lot and so it’s time to Do in our part too.
I agree with you inkapoint, search engine keep on changing there internal algorithms, so there is no sure short technique, the only thing is to keep on learning and following SEO in order to get a good ranking and thus increasing the visitors count.
That means, any SEO technique that is on the Net that is already more than a year old is no longer correct and may even penalize your site because of it?
SEO tip for your guys Internal deep linking within your own blog posts. The Google PageRank Update is in the end of this Month (March 2009). So make extra effort to optimise your site now.

Link exchange is the only effective way to get good PR. Keep in mind that get links from top PR sites than yours

Links from top PR sites are important, if you get some one-way links this is a great way to promote your blog.
Google offers more strength to one way links than the link exchange. You could create a blog on WordPress.com and link to your own blog. (If it is a self-hosted blog). WordPress.com PR9 and you can set up a free blog. It is worth considering.

I hope so, the domain atmmultimedia began in July 2006 as a static website, in 2007, it was a PR 3 and the September 2008 PR it has dropped to PR 2. However, the atmmultimedia blog began in late October 2008, since then I’ve been Promoting the blog hard, writing articles, guest posts, even creating videos. An increase of PR would be amazing,

I was given a free quotation and a list of on-site optimisation. By doing their list of jobs, my site was in the first page of Google within a couple of weeks.
