Interaction-driven approaches to retaining and increasing readership work well but before that we need to get those readers to come to your blog at least once to start on the interaction. However, Technology-driven approach also needs the same amount of hard work that an interaction driven approach will need. Below are five tools that you can use to popularize it.

#Research keywords and Then Use Them in Your Blog

This is an advice that is often misunderstood by many. Keywords help search engines like Google, Yahoo! crawl into your pages but that does not mean they are crammed into the blog forcefully wiping out any sense out of the post. Blogs are for humans and not machines! Use keywords smartly. Put it in the blog title, in the first line and sparingly couple of times in the body where it makes sense. There are lots of websites where you can research your keywords like Google keyword tool.

#Join Technorati and Claim Your Blog

For all those who don’t know Technorati yet, here is the thing. Technorati is similar to search engines like Google but only searches blogs. It is very popular among serious bloggers and getting your blog on there is essential. It will open you up to thousands of serious bloggers who would actually read your blog. For you to make use of Technorati effectively, you need to claim it first. It takes hardly two minutes to Do it. Claim it and enjoy much more attention than before!

#Submit Your Blog to Directories

There are many effective blog directories out there that would help in linking your blog to websites and attract attention. Submit your blog to those directories manually and they would index your pages. Try to make it up to at least the top twenty of them. Some of the popular blog directories are: Best of the Webblogs, bloggeries, etc. The downside is it costs you to do so. However, the returns for doing so are much higher. So, set aside a small amount for submitting your blogs and earn much higher than that!

#Feed your RSS

Site feeds are great ways to keep your blog alive with visitors. The best thing about setting up these is that most of the blog sites do it for you. For example, your blogger account has an option to turn on your site feeds in the setting page. All you need to do is set up your preferences and your pages would update. Other than that, you can also manually feed your blog posts in the feed directories.

#Social Bookmarking – Make Use of it!

This is a craze. A lot of search engines rely on bookmarking sites and there are many out there where you can you can submit your blog. Sites like Delicious can provide thousands of visitors every month. All you need is add your updated pages often. It is a lengthy process though. However, there are many social bookmarking softwares in the market that makes submitting your pages all the more easier.

Finally, blogging is more of unique content than anything else. If there is content in your would help readers know more is when most of them would come back. Therefore, write for your readers and see your blog rising in popularity!
