Tips to Design a SEO Friendly Website
When you are designing a new website there are certain things you should know about search engine optimization (SEO) and its Importance. Having your site search engine optimized is very important if you want to improve its visibility on search engines. Following are some tips for designing a Search engine optimized website:
Use the right keywords – The most important factor that affects your Search engine results page ranking is the usage of keywords and keyword phrases in your website. When adding keywords see that it is relevant to the audience you are interested in. Find out what your target audience would type on Google when they are searching for information.
Update your content regularly – See that you regularly add new and relevant content to your website. This can not only improve the popularity of your website but also its ranking in searches for targeted keywords.
Add content that is unique -There is little use in updating your site with the same old stories that are found everywhere on the web. Make sure that your content is interesting and it gives something new and useful to the visitor.
Use keywords in the title – Pay attention to the words in the title of your webpage and also the title of articles and other content on your WebPages. This can improve the visibility of your content to search engines and tell them what your content is all about.
Minimize the usage of flash and graphics – Flash graphics are not visible to most search engines so there is not much use of using a lot of flash on your WebPages. It can only slowdown your webpage and irritate your visitors, so it is better to Avoid the use of flash. Use only graphics that are relevant to your webpage content and enter keywords relevant to the image, in your alt tags. Spiders follow text links more than image links, so it is better to use more of textual links than image links.
Avoid frames – Many search engines don’t have the ability to spider websites with frames. Even if a search engine manages to spider a site with frames, it will still find spidering and indexing quite complicated.
Use simple layout and tables – To ensure that search engine spiders find it easy to navigate to all your WebPages, you should keep the layout and navigation bar of the website as simple and conventional as possible.
Make use of Cascading Style Sheets – To make it easy for spiders to index your web pages and improve your search engine ranking you should use cascaded style sheets and Java Script to Reduce the size of coding for the web design. This can help in faster loading of your website and avoid irritating visitors with slow loading web pages.
