Submitting your blog to search engines
September 10th, 2008 by Lax
All search engines require that a form be completed by site owners to inform the engine that you want to participate in the game,so that search engine robots or spiders will crawl your blog. Each search engine has its own form.
Here am sharing some of the main engine URL’s:
- Google: www.google.com/addurl.html
- All the web: www.alltheweb.com/help/webmaster/submit_site
- Alta Vista: www.addurl.altavista.com/addurl/new
- Ask Jeeves: www.ask.ineedhits.com/sitessubmit.asp
- Excite: https://secure.ah-ha.com/guaranteed_inclusion/teaser.aspx
- Lycos: www.insite.lycos.com
Going to each of these pages ensures that a comprehensive registration form for each site is completed. This can be labor intensive. To make it easier, online services such as www.submitit.com will submit a site to over 400 search engines.

is this still necessary these days? don’t search engines crawl everything anyway? is there a benefit to registering? I have never registered my sites. And a site i created last year is still the number one result for “baghdad documentary”.
