Proprofs:Create Online Polls and Add Them in Your Blog
Gathering feedback from your readers is an important aspect of Blogging. It lets you know what your readers like, What your readers Do not like what they expect from you and what’s bringing them back.
There are many Tools to create online Polls for you and embed them in your Blog. But ProProfs Polls is different and allows you to track each and every visitor you takes part in your poll.
Yes there are WordPress plugins to easily create Polls and embed them in your Blog. But blogs on a non wordpress platform can’t use those wonderful plugins so I thought i would write a more universal way of creating polls for your blog.
Create Your Poll:
Just register at Pollprofs for a free account and you can start creating your polls immediately. Creating a Poll is as easy as filling out a form . You add your Question and then provide the possible answers and let your visitors choose which answer they want to cast their vote for.To add media , Images and videos just click the “media” button next to the items in your poll.

Settings : You can customize your polls settings for comments and security. For example you can make your poll “private” and allow only selected users to vote. Similarly you can disable comments and set an expiration date.Whats’ impressive is that You can actually Block repeat visitors in your poll which is not available in other Online poll creation tools.
All your Polls are stored in your account and you never have to worry about creating another poll at a later date. You can reuse the poll at any time. Just copy the code and embed it . All the data associated with the Poll is stored safely in your account.
Share Your poll: You can share your Poll in Social Networking sites easily. Attached to every poll are the Options to share. Right now it allows sharing the polls on the following networks :
Delicious,Digg,Friendfeed,Google Bookmarks,AOL,Twitter,Stumbleupon,Linkedin,Technorati,yahoo Bookmarks,Windows live etc
Embedding options: You can completely customize the look and feel of the poll you want to embed in your website. You can choose a theme adjust the sizes and also embed polls created by others in your website or blog.

Analysis features: But what makes this service unique is there analysis reports. You get detailed analysis of “ who your visitors are , where they are coming from, which country they live etc .
Location map of poll takers: A Location map is provided in the polls page that lets you see the exact Geolocation of your poll takers

Clicking the red balloon shows how many users have cast their votes from a particular region. You can sort the poll results by city,IP address also.
Hope you found it useful. Hosting polls? Share with us! Happy Blogging!!

Even though you ruled out plugins for WordPress I still prefer them if possible. My favourite is without doubt WP-Polls.
If you don’t use Wordpress this is a good tutorial, but I would like to see an example as well. Your image where a bit small, but other than this it’s both thumps up for this post.
Glad you liked the article. The reason why WordPress plugins are discouraged as they are not universal and Do not work for Blogspot or blogs on other platforms. And you dont have to do any management either. Just customize the poll add it and Forget ….
That’s great followup. Thanks Amit..!
Another great article from the guru. Thanks Lax. Because of TZI, I’m convinced to use WordPress software on my next blog and use any plugin that you recommend.
Everything I need is already here. Templates, plugins (wordpress and universal), blogging tips, SEO, etc. I don’t have to pay someone just to teach me the proper way of blogging. TZI has it all!
More power TZI!
even i found this resource very helpful, thanks
Thanks for the comments Dude..!

If one has an active blog (like yours) Polls are a great way to create a community out of your blog, because polls helps a lot in getting public opinion.
Yes that’s true. Thanks for sharing your opinion Harsh.
Undeniable the pool can make our post more interesting. But i think by having large audience is more fun to have a poll..Anyway, thanks for sharing this service
Thanks for sharing your opinion here dude..!
This only works if you have enough visitors though. You dont want to have a poll if you will only get three votes.
Thanks Amit for the review.
Jason: You raise a good point and thats where ProProfs Polls is different. Some of our competitors are just widgets so you need your own audience. In ProProfs polls, you have the option to make poll private (visible to just your blog audience) or public (visible at ProProfs & your blog). By making public polls you can leverage on our strong community of 100,000 + members to gather poll feedback.
Thanks for commenting here Sameer.
Jason: Poll is to know your readers opinion right? So what’s wrong in getting opinion of 3 or 10 people. How much could be the count, but this is how you can know pulse of the readers.
Thanks for sharing your opinion Jason.
Thanks for the information Lax, You can actually find out the pulse of your visitors using these Polls..
Good poll options you’ve listed down here
Cheers
Sandeep
Yes, But i never hosted any poll on TZI
Need to Do.

For blogger blog users, there is also a built feature for Polls.
I saw many bloggers who gain benefits from his polls like Darren Rowse where some of his poll results would be posted on his blog.
He also get some inspiration and ideas to write something useful on his blog.
I wonder if it is effective to new bloggers.
