I recommend not to use this donation button unless you give something for free.
Otherwise it will impact your blogs Reputation.
Yeah… I guess that was one of the Reasons why I remove the donation button on my blog.
Ya. I too agree with Freelance. No people will donate if you are not giving up something very useful and unique than anyone.
@ Freelance: People Do not like to donate. Even if you give something for free they won’t donate. This is a hard truth.
Even people who earn a lot do not donate. People donate if you only give them some benefits. For example tell them you will link to them for 1 year if they donate, them they will (of course donation price should be less than 20-25% of your regular price).
Giving something like e books/products will not provoke donators. They think everyone is getting it. They does not have any edge over others.
@ Lax: There are better plugin than these.
I guess I there was someone who earn money from his blog through donations.
Not sure about this one Lax… donation sounds a bit too akward
Cheers

@ Freelance,
Well said dude, i hold the same opinion. Should not use unless you deserve to.
@ Inkapoint,
Yes, that’s 100% truth.
@ Agent,
If your solution helps somebody? if yes they don’t hesitate to donate some bucks.
@ Sandeep,
Sound bit awkward for us. But there are people who give stuff for free and get’s loads of donations.
@Agent001,
You’re correct, people don’t like to donate. But all are in same bench right? If you really feel some plugin/theme earned you much more than expected for free. Then def you want to give some % to the guys behind it.
It works fine as far as i know.
Works but not that easy to convince the donors. Good site you have man with all the blogging info. Just subscribed.
Hope you will be on top soon.
