As an SEO it is sometimes difficult to bring yourself to give away information that you know works, and improves your rankings. Mainly because I find that giving this info away could make my job harder and more competitive! However, I must remember that everyone does need this info, and in order for me to reach a wider audience I will need to give you guys some hopefully useful information!

What forms of Link Building do I find that work particularly for new pages, and which forms of link building can be endlessly used to help Boost all of your pages uop the SERPS?

• Obtaining links from relevant websites: Ok I know a very broad way of saying “Get Links”. However if you can obtain links from blogs or other retailers that work in the same industry as you, then you will more than likely be able to obtain some very powerful links. Relevant and on topic links have much more weight than those that are not relevant.

• Article Distribution: The argument for quantity of Quality is a tricky one but in truth both tactics work! Article distribution is quite controversial because it is considered by some as a form of spam, but by others it is thought of as a way to supply unique content. Obtaining links from any article distribution site will only realistically provide low quality links, but the main point is that you will receive a lot of them!

• Directory Link Building: There are several avenues for this that you can take, one of the most prominent is actually paying for some of the more important Directories like Yahoo or Yellow Pages, and then there are some of the high profile free directories like DMOZ. It was argued that the Directory had lost its power and no longer supplied a great deal of link “juice” to our websites, but from what I can see they still provide power, especially those that require a lifetime payment with high PR. Paying for legitimate directory links is not in my mind a form of “Link Buying” which is thought of by some as Black Hat!

• Press Releases: Yes, probably one of the most successful link building techniques is for those of you that have news about products or locations. If you have a piece of news that nobody else is taking advantage of, you can use this to your advantage. Press Release websites have a huge amount of power, mainly because they are trusted domains. Links from these websites are legitimate and powerful, and if the post relates directly to one of your pages or products, you could see a great lift in Rankings. It is the same as receiving a link from a news website!

Hopefully this will give you some ideas on where to take your link building, obviously there are many more tactics out there, but these are a great way for you to get started!
