Bloggers are always in search of better affiliates, they either Do hit and trial methods and finally give it up with frustration, because they could not find a good Affiliate program or they choose a wrong affiliate.
Here are some tips for choosing right affiliate for your blog:
#1 Analyze
Find the list of affiliate programs which attracts you, it might be because of the product offered or the commission offered. Read genuine reviews about the affiliate programs, you can also check out forums where you will find out affiliates comments about the affiliate and sharing their experience. I would suggest you to make an excel sheet and compare all the features like products, commission, service, reviews and forums rating.
#2 Check out the products which your visitors are interested
Try to get affiliate programs having products useful for your visitors, so that you can attract your visitors more.
#3 Get knowledge of payments and commissions
Once you make list of all the chosen affiliate programs , now you have to find out how much they are paying and do they pay on time to their affiliates or not ?Do they pay weekly , monthly or after a specific payout limit? All the payment options should be clear and transparent.
#4 Read the terms and conditions carefully
Many affiliate programs only pay affiliate on specific terms and conditions like there should not be clicks through one IP address again and again or you will get payment for either clicks or sales through that click and also make clear all the rules applied on commission, hits and impressions.
#5 Take care of hidden payments or discounts
Many programs have some hidden cost or affiliates need to claim for discounts, before you register for any affiliate program, make sure that there are no hidden cost of Promoting your affiliate program or and you must be allowed to sign in to your account and get information about the revenue you generated or sales you made. You must have option to track all your activities, like which product you sold and which product is giving you more revenue and helps in attracting visitors of your website.
#6 Support and training
There must be proper support and training provided by the affiliate programs. Affiliate program must provide Tools and resources to you and must provide assistance to affiliates. They should respond to your queries as soon as possible.
