Got banned from Google Index-Here’s what you can do!

July 1st, 2009 by Lax

Drop in the search engine traffic is always a threat for most of the webmasters, this may also mean that Google Banned or penalized your site from the Google Index. If you are a Webmaster I’m sure you would probably know the definition for Google Index but, there are lot of folks out there who still needs this info.

Here is a definition of Google Index to the best of my knowledge “Google Index is the process of storing information that is collected from different blogs and websites in Google’s database”. This may not be the exact definition but idea behind the scene is the same.

So, what if search engine giant ban you from Google Index?

Well before you know that, you certainly have the need to know the difference between Google penalty and Google ban. You can find the info in one of my previous articles “What Exactly Google Penalty is? How to prevent it?” Where I explained the basic difference between Google ban and Penalty. Now that you know the difference between Google Ban and penalty it’s time to check if your blog or website is banned or penalized.

To find out all you need to Do is to type the following “Site:techzoomin.com” in www.google.com, replace URL of my blog with the URL of your blog or website. If you find your site is still listed in Google then there’s no need to worry much this may mean Google penalized your blog not banned. In case you don’t find it then I’m afraid to say that you may have been banned.

So, what to do if you are banned?

Well the only way you can escape a Google ban or Google penalty is by Requesting reconsideration using Google Webmaster Tools. But before you make a reconsideration request take some time to know why Google banned or penalized you. Make sure that you corrected all the mistakes you have done previously. Here is an article ( Why Google Penalizing Bloggers? How to Avoid? ) that can help you track the Reasons why Google penalizes blogs and this would be same in case of websites too.

After reading that article make necessary corrections that your blog or websites needs. Once you finish all the necessary changes then request for reconsideration using Google Webmaster Tools.

Here is a video that illustrates how to make a reconsideration request at Google webmaster tools.
