happy and amazed to read
I believe everybody is part of that Billion
I’m sure mostly reader of TZI is a part of that Billion achivement.
I’m also included (i download 2-3 times, because there is a time i get my FF broken). I’m so proud
Sure, I’ve probably downloaded it 30-50 times and I’m sure there’s plenty of people who have done the same thing. Nevertheless, it’s still impressive.
I never counted, but downloaded several times
You download FF 30-50 times? Why? You can your firefox broken? Just wonder about it
So you’re contribute quite big % of 1 Billion achievement
Having been a Firefox user for many years now and recommending it to pretty much everybody, it’s nice to see they finally reached 1,000,000,000 downloads. Also nice to see that their marketshare is still increasing, more or less.
That’s how i said it will clean sweep the market soon.
I’d say, Firefox is the internet browser to go! I don’t like IE, web designers either don’t. my blog don’t properly show up n IE and I gave up trying to fix it. They just alck a lot of stuffs and doesn’t have a good support base and community.
Congrats firefox!
IE getting hard time day to day. FF and in recent times Chrome getting more into the picture.
How about flock? Flock is unpopular but it’s also good. If firefox didn’t excist, maybe flock/opera is a choice. IE just too old fashioned and have no interesting add on.
Firefox Rockz! I cant live without Firefox as it helps me a lot on my web development! Firebug, Web developers Tool is all I need to fulfill my development needs! No one can come close to FF in this aspect! Not even Chrome (ah! Foreget IE x-( )! If I ever get a chance I will surely devote something to FF community
Plugins made it so popular and useful. 100’s of awesome plugins are out there..
hey, btw this is my list of add-ons:
- Firebug
- Twitterbar
- Shareaholic
- Google Toolbar
- Web Devlopers [I activate it only when I need]
- StumbleUpon Toolbar
- Greasemonkey
I try to keep my list small in order to prevent FF crashes… How many Do you use?
Great list dude.. I use only Firshot and Greasemonkey as of now.
for me firefox is a rockstar like me! It is ‘environment friendly’!
Rockstar is correct word.
Great to hear that! Firefox is the best browser for bloggers!
Happy Friendship Day!
Same to you dude..!
Thanks for the comments dude..!
My favorite browser
, keep rocking.
Rocking Rocking…Thanks for the comments dude..!
Toast to FF! One Billion is a bit hyped number though, this is mainly because they have minor versions available every other week or so which will inflate the download numbers. Browsers like IE may not release minor versions that often.
Good point Ajith. That’s true they release versions very often,so that could one reason for that count.
Firefox is the best browser. But I think Opera can take its place. It is also a cool Opera.. and now they have Opera Unite.. which turns computers into web servers !
Hmmm Opera can over take FF? I never used opera my self.
No matter what Opera does, Firefox is Firefox! All web developers around the world use it for their ease and you can’t ignore this!
Also for setting up a home server you can use XAMPP or WAMP or programs similar to those!
Yes that’s true XAMPP is good one i use in my office too. FF is king as far as am concerned
Opera is also good, i’m ever use it for some month. But well, it’s all about the add on and feature
. Mozilla BANZAI…!!!
Also love the fox logo, it’s cool.
I LUV Fx and hate it when I have to help someone of IE. I just can’t stand it at all.
One Billion is a huge number and it just shows you that it’s king. Hope to see that number go past Two Billion, lol.
Hmm
It will cross 2 Billion soon..
It will be achieved < 1 year later, i'm sure
Mozilla just great
Wow! Congratulation Mozilla Team. I am one who download Mozilla Firefox for my internet browsing activity.
Thanks for your great features… More Power to all of you.
Yes i’m using mozilla also. Actually, in the first i’m use IE to browse TZI because the composition of site is broken, until i know i’m not updated my firefox for a long time. After update, i get TZI looks is become normal and then i browse via mozilla.
Wow, thats really something. 1 Billion! Maybe its the most downloaded thing on the internet.
On the other hand, I want to know whats the number on IE, Opera and the other browsers.
IE also are built in with Windows so people who likes IE doesn’t need to download it.
Well i don’t know where i can get the data of other browser but i think it’s far difference with mozilla. Mozilla can achieve that amount because there is many interesting add-on only for firefox. The only weakness of mozilla is, can’t save html as mht File.
Ever hear about the info before, but wanna congratz it on this article. Great achievement…!!!
3-4 years ago, who can predict mozilla can beat IE? No one hehe…But now their beat it.
I wonder whats the total right now? Maybe its getting close to 2 Billion.
Sure, I’ve probably downloaded it 30-50 times and I’m sure there’s plenty of people who have done the same thing. Nevertheless, it’s still impressive.
