Don’t use High Level CAPTCHA in Comments Area..!
I’m seeing the people using high level captcha security codes to Avoid spam comments. I agree that we should use something to avoid them, but it should not test the visitor’s patience. I failed 4 times to submit one Comment on one of my friend’s blog. I don’t want to share the blog name, but you can see the screenshot here…
Who will write comments, if you have something like this? The visitor will never come back to comment again. Here is the close look…
Agree? I’m not saying you shouldn’t use. But using simple math function security would be good for you and your commentators. It’s something like 1+2=? Or is fire hot or cold?

Oh … this is one of my pet peeves! LOL … I often have to call one of my kids in and ask them to help me with these things … and that’s after I’ve failed it 3 or 4 times myself!

Yes, that is crazy. There is a catpcha who make me closing my face to the computer monitor. It’s make my eyes hurt…!!!

Hard captcha is not only make spammer leave your blog, but also a normal reader
I leave some blog where i’m failed so many time on entering captcha code.
I dont use any captcha at all, and I dont get any spam.
A lot of bots manage to get through these captcha softwares also by accessing the comments File directly.
By far the best option I have come across is Wp-Spamfree
And yeah you are right..those hard to pick complex captchas really piss me off.

I used to use Captcha on my blog. It was not much appreciated.
To counter spam I installed one more Anti-Spam plugin in addition to Askimet.
Now there is no more spams. So I didn’t require any more Captcha plugin.

Yes good that you removed that Captcha… I’m planning to use small math fun for that..I’m got 18k+ spam comments in these 9 months

I also prefer math functions over the captcha code, captcha code is really irratating.

I’m victim of that high level captcha image. It’s so annoying. If the combination not clearly seen, i’m always generate for new image.
