Checking Your Spam Area?
I guess all the WordPress bloggers using Akismet right? All we know about how fast is spam world 
increasing and attacking blogosphere.Just after TechZoomIn launched 3months back,till now i have got 850 original comments and 970 spam comments Akismet found.This is a simple example to show how spam is going crazy on blogs.
But here is a twist,among those 970 which Akismet found around 40 are original comments but found by Akismet because they seems to be suspicious.
This is expected because Akismet is also just an another Plugin,not that intelligent like you.Its always recommended to cross check your spam comments found by your Plugins.Because you may get some useful comments from your valuable visitors.If they observe that their comments are not published,as a result you may loose some valuable visitors along with your comments count.

So,lets check your spam comments daily and de-spam the valuable comments and trackbacks.You will be happy and your commentators will be happy.

Anyway good info for WP users.
There are tons of antispam solutions that are terribly inaccurate. Akismet is bordering those by the way, depending on blog context which influences wording of comments. It took me three posts to explain my stance on antispam, lol.
First sign of crappy solutions – you have to check results after it. I mean what’s the point then?

Blogspot too will get spams dude…but because of security code that blogspot asks the rate was very low

Akismet is the only one which is working perfectly as of now.

As you said blogger will prevent most of the comments.but still am getting lots of spams with there links and all.
No one can stop this spamming

You just posted that you have to re-check after it and it has around 0.5% rate of nuking perfectly valid comments as spam.
I am using Peter’s Anti Spam plugin and i can tell you that it has reduced lot of spams. I am getting hardly 1 or 2 spams daily. Why don’t you try that?
BTW, I am also from Hyderabad. I read your Comment in Lyndi’s blog.

I love posting comments in other blogs to express myself. But sometimes this Akismet plugins annoys me where sometimes, they block my comments.
That was my effort to post my comments and it’s gone after I click the Submit Comment button.
