I’ve been invited to guest blog is several blogs now but I don’t feel like doing it because I don’t even have enough time to manage my own blogs what more about guest blogging because it take a lot of responsibility than writing for my own blog.

I usually Do guest blogging but I don’t submit a duplicated articles because this might hurt your Reputation as a good blogger.

Yeh, guest blogging is great for self-promotion but if you accept guest bloggers, it may be risky.

I am fearful that I may be held liable for some ripped-off content, because no matter how hard you search, the web is a large place. Regardless, the content could come from some print material.

Additionally, I’d want a unique article that hasn’t been plastered all over the net.

So for now, I am hesitant to allow guest posting on my blogs.

Well said, also guess blogging will affect the normal flow, but there are exceptions like JohnChow. His blog is mostly filled with guest blog content.. If he blogs, it will be awesome post or else a dirty crap – where he went, what he ate…
Your views are perfectly right for medium popularity blogs like ours…

I think you need to make it clear to guest bloggers that they are not allowed to republish the post anywhere else or it will be removed. Preparing a page to specify your requirements is a good way to minimize such cases. You noted a good point Lax.
