Top 4 WordPress Twitter Plugins
1. Tweet Meme – This is a very effective and simple plugin that allows you to add a “Retweet” button alongside your post. It also shows the number of Tweets that a particular post has received with Integration with TweetMeme Analytics. A higher number of retweets shows a higher popularity of your post among twitter users. It has got a quicker loading times for the buttons. If you’d like to track a campaign using Google Analytic’s Campaign Tracking feature, this gives you the ability to add the necessary query to the end of the URL. You can then use a URL shortening service (TinyURL.com) so that the link is an appropriate size for micro-blogging.
3. Simple Twitter Link – Simple Twitter Link displays a link allowing Twitter users to update their status with a link back to your post or page. It simply returns a URL – this URL is a link to Twitter with your post/page URL within it. It even uses TinyURL to make the link passed to Twitter even more convenient. The code for Simple Twitter Link should be added to the bottom of appropriate post/page templates within your theme
4. Tweet This – Adds a “Tweet This Post” link to every post and page. Shortens URLs. It can automatically tweet new and scheduled blog posts with customizable (check screenshots). It also includes: Plurk, Yahoo Buzz, Delicious, Digg, Facebook, MySpace, Ping.fm, Reddit, and StumbleUpon support. This plugin fetches a shortened URL from a URL shortening service of your choice for each of your blog posts’ permalinks server-side, then displays a link to Twitter for each post, with an optional icon.
