Best Ways To Select Good Domain for your Blog
If you really intend that your blog site should rank high in search engines and have more visitors, you should start applying the SEO strategies right from the beginning. Take care to that your domain name resembles your website name. A wisely selected domain name would provide you with an impetus and get you great mileage in future. When it comes to generic domain names vs brand name domains, it’s best to choose generic names as far as blog sites are concerned because most of the visitors would start a search with generic titles while they search of information in the internet.
When it comes to the length of the domain name, although short domain names are preferred by SEO experts, care should be taken to Avoid any obscurity that may mislead the visitors. If the domain name you are looking for is not available it is wise to use hyphens to separate keywords in your domain name and this enables search engines to place your site on top for right key words. While the use of the article ‘The’ is recommended it is not advisable to use plurals as it may drive the traffic to your competitor. Usually selection of the domain name extension like .com, .net or .org depends on your target audience. Although it is preferable to get a .com extension for blog sites, it is wise to opt for other extensions that provide you with the option retaining your website’s name without modifications.

I’ve used my nickname. Otherwise I’d overthink and end up with something stupid.
By the way I am so tired of tech prefix… Like five different feeds starting with that in my channels, I no longer remember which is what.
@Rarst,
Going for nick names is always good. My first attempt before checking TechZoomIn was “Lax”,”Laxblog” and etc… But am ended with empty hand. All those are already taken up.
“Lax” is Crazy i guess
