9 Tips to Drive Fellow Commentator to your Blog

If you are a blogger then you should be aware of commenting in a popular blog may generate a huge traffic for your blog. An insightful Comment may Boost your traffic. But when there are about 100 comments on a post then you should be careful when leaving comments and be smart that may help you to win the attraction of the readers among the huge comments.
Here I am going to discuss some tips for making comment in the popular blogs.It not only wins the attraction of the readers but also helps you to express your Quality.
#1 First in, First Win
One of the best policy would be the “First in, first win” way i.e if you leave your comment earlier,obviously it will help you to get a good traffic. But it won’t help you if you don’t have anything worthwhile to say. It also may hurt your Reputation to both the reader and the blogger on whose blog you are commenting.
#2 Focus from a different angle
Go through the post deeply and try to find out the points that have not been mentioned by the blogger. You can point out your vision with a brief comment. So if you can bring out the uncovered section of the topic then the reader will think you as a expert and they will checkout your blog for finding something new.
#3 Put an example
Quite often bloggers forget to give an example in their post, especially if the post is about tips and tricks. So if you can point out how it works out in reality in comment, the readers will really grateful and will check out your blog to see who is behind them.
#4 Argument/Disagree
Presenting a different opinion from the blogger or the others may stand you out from the crowd. It is great way to get the attention from other. But keep it in your mind that you should not be eristic or attacking while you disagree. A polite disagreement may create a real good impression.
#5 Throw a question
Asking a question may get great response from others, It will earn the attention of the others and they will think about how they would answer the question. It will make people busy in visiting your blog.
#6 Give Helpful Links
There are many views about giving a link in comments. But In my opinion you should put a helpful link. A link acts as the pictorial edition of your comment. People may get the full image of the idea which you are trying to say in your comment.
#7 Use Comment Format
As many sites supports html tags in the comment section, you can format your comment text to make it more attractive. Write some words in bold which needs to be highlighted. But it should be done carefully. If you try to make your comment text rich in look rather than the subject of the post,it may be treated as spam.
#8 Comment Length Matters
Respect the blog’s spam policy, come out of the intention of just making a comment. Rather try to Avoid sitting in spam section. Try to make at least double line comment with some useful information. Just forget the words “Good post”, “Useful one”, “Your blog is nice”, etc… Doesn’t matter your intention behind it, but its called pure SPAM.
#9 Breakdown the Lines
In many sites the comment area is narrower than the content area. So if you are going to write a detailed large comment then you should break down the text lines so that the appearance of your comment does not become worse.

even you can be the first, try reply to the first so you still on top..
Another way is to respond to the first Comment. Just like what I’m doing now. This way, you are on the 2nd person to comment.

Yes, I usually Comment on Problogger.net, I also get traffic from problogger.net commenting, I think the the first commentator get lots of traffic by commenting on problogger.
Yehe, commenting on popular blogs as the 1st Comment can really be good for traffic as popular blogs have a massive readership. I Do that as well sometimes, but you have to be quick, because popular blogs already have 10 comments or more in the first 10 minutes.
My country have local term to say about “1st commentator”, on here we call it as “Pertamax”. On a lot of local blog, people always go for it.

Okay Renino is right. Replying to the first Comment is also useful because you will be right there at the top.
Hmm yes, but it’s based on the Comment itself also. If you Do make 1st comment, but it’s spam, you’ll get no appreciation but a bad image

I think asking questions or encouagin to Comment is also very good way to get some good comments.
by asking question u start conversation and if it is long conversation…more people will notice YOU so it can too drive fellow commenters
Yes I agree. You can start your post by a question or end it by a question.
ZXT since you here, i wanna make one example about your opinion. I’m sure you know about ss101, right? The admin, Nick, use that technique and as a proof, Comment is come like a flood (even the blog is new).
Making conversation is also first step to explore more about the topic written on the article.
i always want to Comment first but i fail to Do sooo…but it is also good to reply to the point that the first commenter has mentioned…
Lee point out one nice things on commenting that always put your own opinion with the blog post article when make Comment. It increase your status as commentator.
I’m advice you to subscribe on some blog, so when new articles comes, it will be new email notification comes rapidly telling about the update. And then, you can get the chance to make first Comment.
You Can Add This Point too
>That If most of the comments are long…then try to post a short and sweet Comment or vice versa … this will grab the attention of the fellow commenters nd they will visit your blog
I definitely try to get in quickly and leave a Comment of value. It’s funny when there is the cook that leave a lousy and useless comment on some of the bigger blogs just to be first.
And if a blogger does post something that is interpreted as offensive or unfair then I Do mention it in my comment. I vary rarely just follow along like a sheep.
Use unique avatar to stand out from the crowd.
Ya avatar can be another point that can be added to get noticed by others
I also think this is a good way, as having the default WP avater, doesn’t really stand out. Having a own unique avater, like your site logo will help and also expose your site more.
Sorry, but as a reader, i’m not take too much attention for avatar, it’s only like identity and addition part of Comment. So, Do you think by only use unique avatar, you’ll get attention?

Okay let me try this. Am I first in first win now? Not sure because comments here are moderated so maybe somebody else got ahead of me.
Anyways, I must admit, getting a first Comment will get read by most visitors. If your comment is number 43 then good luck.

i will Comment on many blogs daily to get backlinks and also to get some traffic.
to get huge traffic we want leave the comments in different way than others comment means like asking silly questions.
Commenting will surely give you backlink…if u follow all points above u can get some traffic from each blog
so indeed more traffic

Commenting from other blogs is one of my main source of traffic. People discover my blog through my comments.

Same with me. When SEO and looking for organic traffic is seem hard, then depending on blogwalking activity is a recommended.
But i’m aware, i can’t Do this for a long time.

There are so many sneaky was to get seen by others who Comment. I always try to be at least in the top 10. But If I must be the last commenter, then I try to ask a question in hopes that some one will stop by to answer it.
Yes, there is a lot of strategy to still get attention and appreciation even we’re not first. For me, the strategy is :
- Respond other which asking for help
- Sharing File which related to the article
- Make controversial Comment (I don’t mean abusing post)
But another way to keep you commenter coming back is to ease up on moderation. If a person comments on a blog for ever a month and still their comments end up going to moderation it does get to be a bit discouraging.
I actually agree on this 100 percent. I think blog moderation should be only on first Comment.
I would have to say that I work on just about every single one of those angles as I go through my feed reader.
My biggest problem is Comment length however, Im more of a punch line kinda guy than a deeply detailed response kind of guy.

First in First win is not one and only one technique.If your Comment is relevant to the article and the reader may learn something new from your comment then definitely it will bring them to your site.

Yes you are correct but lets admit, first Comment has the most chance of getting read by readers and others that will leave a comment.
Yes being first commentator is good for get more traffic.
It’s not happen on this blog. On this blog, all Comment get a lot of attention even it’s last comment. That’s advantage of leaving comment on techzoomin.
