6 Best Free WordPress Plugins for Advertising
We all know that WordPress is the most commonly used blogging platform for bloggers nowadays. WordPress provides lots of flexibility to the users by providing various plugins which are created by programmers around the world and is available for free from WordPress Plugins site. There are several plugins in WordPress which can help you in putting up advertisements on your site. I have listed below the top 6 free WordPress Plugins according to me that can be used for advertising in websites.
This plugin allows you to insert AdSense ads on your blog without modifying the template. You can set it up to show different AdSense ads for articles older then ‘n’ days. This way your regular readers will not be bothered by your ads, while visitors coming to older posts from search engines or other sources, will see a version that is monetized better. You can also exclude ads wherever you like based on post id, or by using our no-AdSense tag.
This plugins allows you to integrate Chitika Premium ads into your WordPress blog. This plugins can be run on the same page as Google AdSense. People using Chitika premium ads will find them plugins extremely useful. This also allows the publishers to change the display like advertisement size, display position, channel, background color and text/link color of their Chitika Premium ads on their WordPress blog through the Settings page.
This plugin allows you to easily add and rotate banners on your WordPress blog anywhere you like without editing themes or editing codes. You can control your advertising from WordPress dashboard and can rotate multiple advertisements on a single spot. It also allows gives you statistics like banner impressions and click through rates to let you correctly track how good your banner is doing.
#4 Rotatee
This plugin allows you to randomize your advertising banners especially those of 125 * 125 sizes. Rotatee is a simple, yet powerful rotator script. It’s more than just a banner or ad rotator. You can literally rotate anything using Rotatee : chunks of text, bunch of links etc.
This plugin allows you to manage AdSense ads on your blog. It generates code automatically and allows positioning with Widgets. This will allow you to manage and rotate your Google AdSense and other ads on your WordPress blog. It automatically recognizes many ad networks including Google AdSense, AdBrite, Adify, AdGridWork, Adpinion, Adroll, Chitika, Commission Junction, CrispAds, OpenX, ShoppingAds, Yahoo!PN, and WidgetBucks.
This plugin allows you to inserts AdSense code randomly into a pre-existing blog. Takes a random paragraph (or <br> tag) break in your article and inserts AdSense code. It does one per story on multi-post pages (home, archive, and category) and lets you pick how many to show on single post pages.
These are some of the WordPress plugins that I find very useful and effective in managing ads on any blog. Please let me know if you have some more in your list. I would love to hear from you.

Hi, could you tell me the resource for Blogger widget? Because I’m not using WordPress.
there are no in-built plugins as such
may be, search in google.
Why anyone never think of that. Yes of course Google is the answer.
because blogspot doesn’t have extra features and doesn’t support external plugins so nobody want to take effort to make plugins for blogsport..I guess so
I think we have a winner! Een got it right.
I’m a blogspot user too but I Do want to shift to WordPress.
People nowadays provide such advice. One thing I notice about those people? They Do not know the answer themselves.
Thats why we have to be careful which advice we will follow. I suggest go for the person you trust and has an authority.
For example, you don’t follow Page Rank advice from someone with blog that got zero PR right?
That’s right. I saw your blog. Your Alexa ranking goes up so I guess, I’ll listen to you very well.
Thank you Renino, I’ve been searching and studying Alexa for a almost 2 months now.
Hey, can you be my coach?
as I knew..Lax had posted some post about blogger..just search for it…
Editing code in the blogger template can help & thats not too tough.
There you can also choose the exact place you want to display the ads.
Great list, will try all.
So how was it? Any feedback from all of the plugins that were mentioned here that you’ve tried?
Also waiting for the feedback from Anish. He has a good website so his feedback will be useful to us.
Thanks for the list..never knew most of them since I don’t use any advertisement in my blog..but Max Banner Ads gives superb function which we can trak the performance of the ads..
All are very useful plug in. But unfortunately I am using blogger blog, so I can not use those plug in.
Slowly moving to WordPress self hosted lol!
can you recommend cheap, reliable Hosting service that caters WordPress? I think, bluehost is ok but I feel it’s a bit expensive than others.
dreamhost is good, try it.
Dreamhost is $8.95/month, more expensive than BlueHost.
Thanks, for the plugins
but i have blogspot blogs.
Well in that case why are you giving thanks?
Maybe he’s planning to convert his blogspot blog into WordPress…
I never thought of that.
Yes converting to WordPress is a good idea. As you can see, most plug ins, supports is for Wordpress not to mention themes.
Star Self Hosted WordPress blogs, you can Import/Export your Blogspot posts to Wordpress.
How Do you export a blog from blogger to WordPress? I’m pretty sure many bloggers from blogspot would like to know this.
A nice selection Lax. I used to use Advertising Manager, and it worked great. Rotatee looks neat. I’l give that one a try.
I will surely try few of them.
i am using quick Adsense….it is cool
I got Adsense on my blog, might as well try a few of these plug ins.
Be careful, don’t go for self click, don’t worry abt less earnings, you will more in future.
Well who said about clicking my own ads? I know that and I also know lots of account got Banned because of that.
I think clicking your own ads are not allowed. If you get caught, your account will be Banned and you will never be able to withdraw whatever unpaid earnings you have in your account.
Yes and it will bound to happen if you click you orwn ads.
I have to buy my domain very soon! I’m excited to implement all these things already.
I’m supporting you man..chossing WordPress self-hosted is the best decision that I had ever made..
yes, Self host Word prees is best. Its easily to manage.
Go for it. Having your own domain is a good investment. But think about a good domain first because it will help you gain good SERPs and it will be your brand name.
I think Kontera plugin available there, what about infolinks ?.
But kontera plugin doesn’t work well for me..something like bug
Kontera is facing tough competition from Infolinks, all switching to Infolinks.
Really? But i think Kontera still doing well..:)
Dear Lax..
As I noticed half of your readers use blogspot..hope you can help them with blogger resurces..
Nice find, hope lax will check this.
It’s really hard to look for blogspot plug ins because theres nosupport from blogspot itself.
We can use Blogspot themes. its easy to use.
I thought this article is about plug ins and not themes.

Thanks for your list. Its is very useful small publishers like me…
Albert , you are a small publisher, Do you have Adsense Premium Account ?.
Do you have Adsense premium account Anish? I think your site is qualified.
I used Max Banner Ads for a while and even wrote a post or two about it. I am currently using adrotate which also does a good job, although I think it’s more banners
BTW, I have included this post in my Monday roundup next week. It will benefit my readers.
I will check out your blog, George. Thanks for bringing it up.
Seems interesting, i might try some in future blogs
Thanks for the info.
Thanks for the share. Currently me using the easy Adsense plugin for showing ads in between posts and all. But i am tired of that. I feel it to be old. Thanks for these. Will try them for sure
Are you facing any problem with that plugin , please let me know as i will be using it in near future.
i am not using any plugins. Just edit the code.
It might slow down your blog if use to may javascript code and html code in your coding.but using too many plugins also will slow down the blog
Yes using too many plug ins and or too many java scripts will surely slow donw your blog to a crawl and you will lose visitors.
I too Do not want to be plugin dependent. I prefer editing the code of my blog template to much extent. Thats also important because plugins versions are kept revising & then updating to recent version is also a concern
Nice List i will try it out.

All are really very great plug in. I will use all plug in on my blog. Thank you.
I don’t think you can use all plug ins in one blog. Plus your blog is in blogspot and these plug ins are for WordPress. Did you even read the article? Or you just casually replied here?
Lax, check the ” alt ” for the image.
What Do you mean Anish? For what purpose?
