10 WordPress Plugins to Boost Your Blog Comments..!
We bloggers write posts, optimize them for search engines, spread the word in the social networking & Bookmarking sites & Do yet more stuffs only to achieve one goal named VISITORS. And those visitors count only if they return again. And if they return they are bound to leave some footprints there, which is called COMMENTS.
This is their dedication expressed in words. In the meantime those comments adds more value to the posts thereby making it more informative for the future readers. Lets see how we can encourage our readers to Comment more on our blog posts
1. Commentluv: This plugin fetches the last blog entry of the commentator(provided he/she has a blog). This is very attractive for the bloggers who visit to your site. It encourages them to comment on your post just because they will get something in return i.e a meaningful backlink.

2. MBLA: This plugin helps you to show the avatars of your blog commentators. This helps the commentator show his/her own identity in a distinct way. You can easily switch between MyBloglog & Gravatar.
3. Comment Relish: This is a plugin developed to send an automatic e-mail message to users who comment on your website for the first time. The message dispatched to the user is defined within the plugin’s preferences. Numerous tags have been integrated to allow for information to be included in the message easily (I.E.: timestamp, author name, comment etc.).
4. Thank Me Later: This is a plugin is much like the Comment Relish plugin. This is very helpful in reminding them of their comment on your blog. This is a great way to attract “one-time visitors” and remind them to keep coming to your blog
5. Subscribe to comments: This plugin notifies the commentator on a particular post about the follow up comments by shooting an email to him/her. This helps the discussion going on.

7. ajax Edit Comments: This plugin lets your commentators to edit their comments in case they need to edit their comments(before moderation). This saves the time for the commentators because they don’t have to post twice in case they have made some mistake.
8. Top Commentators widget: This is a sidebar widget to show the top commentators in your WP blog. The concept is an adaptation of the Show Top Commentators plugin. But this is easier to manage. You can select the duration of the calculation. Set it for a month or week for best results.
9. Moojax Comment Posting: This AJAX plugin allows the comment to be posted without reloading. It helps in getting your readers less annoyed.

hmm, went I look the list that you have provide, I think I have use some of it and the as you said it can stimulate your reader to Comment, nice man. Choose wisely because if you are running to many plug-in it will make your blog loading time increasing (I think you already know it)

How come you don’t use Comment Luv?
Just wondering about nested comments. What’s the difference on this plugin and WordPress standard?
Some themes will not support nested comments. Hence we need that Nested comments plugin to show blog’s comments list like nested comments.
For example, I have replied to u and u can see how both of our comments are nested. This is nested Comment list.

I have used all of them on different sites, and blogs, and they Do help in some cases but a few of those I would not recommend. Comment Relish is the one I have had the most trouble with. I have always had visitors complain about it. Who knows, maybe I was doing it wrong…? It might be nice but I would not recommend it.
I think people using Comment relish in wrong way.. I Do get irritated to receive 2 or 3 mails after commenting on the blogs using this plugin.
But that should be configured in proper way to send to the first commentator, not all the time.

That is true. If configured the right way visitors will take it better, otherwise if not configured the right way it will not be of any advantage.

I use CommentLuv and Subscribe to Comments. I Do not use Top Commentators widget as I know some spammers abuse.
Thanks for this interesting post, I’m sure many use will be installing some of the plugins you mentioned.
I Do use subscribe to comments..But thinking of using commentLuv..But am afraid of load time..too many plugins will drag the load time..

CommentLuv is the best of them and ThankMeLater is the worst, IMO!
