10 Simple ways to Get More Comments
Getting more comments is a great art. Getting more comments is nothing but getting more visitors, in turn more page views and more success as a Blogger. So as a fresh Blogger first you need to concentrate on getting good amount of comments that in turn will drive enough traffic for you. Here are some of the tips I will share with you.
- Use a simple Comment form: Make sure you are using a simple comment form with as much as less fields to fill. Name, Mail id and URL are enough for secured comment.
- Ask Question after every post: This is again art of writing posts. End your article with giving a chance for readers to shout. This works very well.
- Reply to Comments: Do reply to comments. This will encourage the readers to come back again.
- Use CommentLuv: CommentLuv and AjaxCommentLuv enable you to reward your blog readers by leaving a titled link to their last post automatically whenever they comment thus encouraging more comments by more people on more posts!
- Comment relish: Comment relish sends a thank-you email to your blog’s first time commentators. This encourages them to come back again and comment regularly.
- Comment Back: Go back to your commentator’s blogs and comment there. This will make them feel happy and builds a strong relationship
- Be in touch: Be in touch with your regular commentators by adding them in IM’s and Social Networking sites.
- Subscribe To Comments: Use Subscribe to Comments plugin to allow readers to receive notifications of new comments that are posted to an entry.
- Show Top Commentators: Use Show Top Commentators plugin to encourage your readers to see their name on your sidebar by doing most comments. The Plugin also gives you the option to reset the list every hour, day, week, month or year.
- Reply to Link: Use Reply to Link plugin to add a ‘Reply to this comment’ link to every comment. This plugin makes it easy for people to reply to comments and prevents readers from scrolling down to look for answers to their questions.

It’s working for me. After activation your plugin, you need to configure it by giving from mail id,message and some other details.

I would also like to add one more point
*Making the blog Do-follow blog
This will make the visitors to Comment on the do-follow blog and get some nice back links. Although i have not made my blog do-follow as lots of spam comments are killing me but you can see in hellboundbloggers.com which is a do-follow blog.

I would suggest to Comment your own first that your users will encourage to post his comment because someone is already there on the comment section.
This process is optional, but I’ve seen many blogger already done this process.
By the way, I am using Intense Debate and it works better on my blog.
I mean, it is a blogspot blog friendly and easy to install…
I would encourage all blogspot users to use IntenseDebate and CommentLuv for WordPress users.
Produce killer article and promote it at social sites. I use this tip and it does increase Comment number at my blog
Make controversial article is also drive people to come and commenting. But don’t abuse people.
